My last post was about our late lunch at A Veneto Napoli Pizzeria Ristorante, so here's the follow up *grins*, we stayed in the said place as long as we can and idle the time away with our nonstop chatter about Korean men, of course *lol* but then, we can't very well stay forever, right? That's where Starbucks came in, we need another place to lounge plus the fact that we were craving for something to wash away the aftertaste of our lunch, it was a battle between Razon's Halo-Halo and Starbucks' coffee, well, you already know who won :D

Meet-up at A Veneto Napoli Pizzeria Ristorante
I met up with two of my chinggus at SM Mall of Asia and we had a late lunch at A Veneto Napoli Pizzeria Ristorante. It had to be a late lunch as I came late, I had to finish up my motherly duties before I was able to went out *sigh*, so, you would understand the lack of clarity and artistry in my photos right, I made them wait for me for more than an hour so asking them to wait some more before digging in as I wanna take pictures will make me look more unreasonable and selfish *pouts*.
Anyway, it was me, lloydie and ahjumma with her tinker tot Iyah, but if you'll see our table at that time, you'll think we're waiting for a bunch of other people *grins*.
We had A Veneto Family Platter, Oil and Garlic Seafood White Sauce, Baked Ziti with Hungarian Sausage and a 10" Hawaiian Pizza, Lloydie and Iyah had Iced Tea while me and ahjumma had Lemonade.

NBA Fully Loaded Meal
Another late post, this time for Ruby Tuesday, it's my first time joining and I'm already late, just the right move to create a lasting good impression *sarcasm intended*.
I went to my son's new school, yup, we did transfer, to enroll but I stupidly left his class card home so I wasn't able to, it's a good thing that his new school's enrollment system is so organized, he was tagged as temporarily enrolled though I haven't really paid for it. I'm loving the institution already, hahaha. Anyway, my son asked me to bring some KFC goodies home, actually, he wanted the Ben10 bucket meal but it's not available in the Malabon branch so I just opted for their NBA Fully Loaded Meal.
NBA Fully Loaded Meal is your usual fully loaded meal with a piece of chicken (original or hot and crispy), gravy, a fixin/side dish (usually mashed potato), mushroom soup, a serving of rice, a piece of brownie and a drink (Coca-Cola, yup, they don't serve Pepsi products anymore, sad right, I want my Mt. Dew and 7-Up!). The only difference is, with the NBA FLM, you get an NBA tumbler- filled drink instead of the regular one for 155 pesos.
And as usual, KFC doesn't disappoint :D

Waffle Time
Though I'm a day late, I still want to post and join Blue Monday, it's my first time joining this meme, I hope I'm welcome.
Waffle Time is one of the leading waffle franchise in the country, its package usually comes in a yellow box but as they are selling Thor items at the moment, their package being that of Thor is but a part of a good promotion, even the waffle wrapper is Thor-themed.
As far as I know, items like a small backpack, pencil holder, notepad, etc. are available in their kiosk. Oh yeah, those plastic cups for their iced tea is also printed with Thor :)

A piece of American Hotdog waffle (photo above) will cost you 16pesos while a box of 6 is at 96, different variants are available with reasonable price tags, I'm just not familiar with it as my son only likes the simplest of them all (look at the photo above for illustration).
See you next time!

What We Had
I'm late ulit, sorry naman, was busy kasi, forgive me please *puppy eyes*.
We had an impromptu swimming a few weeks ago, we went to a nearby pool/resort to cool down, I was with my son, brother, and four younger cousins, yeah, yeah, I was the oldest :) Anyway, as we weren't prepared, we just made a dash around the kitchen and we came up with Buttered Shrimp Pasta, Fried Chicken and Fried Hotdogs, we bought a few bottles of soda and distilled water and we're off.

(we cut the shrimp in bits, pamparami, hahaha...)
Fried Chicken
Okay, one thing I've learned in the many outings that I've been with my family and relatives, we tend to eat less when we're out, it seems like we're always out to have fun and not indulge in food and we do the glutton thing-y the minute we make it home *lol*.
Till next weekend!
A Feast, Almost!
We (I mean the admin and officers of Batch 90) were supposed to have another meeting last May 6 but due to some unavoidable circumstances, it was canceled the same day it was supposed to happen, so I together with another classmate already bought and prepared what we would bring to the event, it was a pity that our grade school friends didn't get to taste what we bought and cooked but other people were happy as they were the ones who reaped the good fortune *grins*.
This Almond Java Mousse was from Gina, we didn't get to taste it but her officemates did *grins* and based on their FB comments, it looks like they had fun eating it. Goldilocks described it as a two layered moist chocolate sponge cake with rich java mousse filling. The whole cake is iced with mocha butter icing and coated with coffee ganash and sprinkled with sliced almond nuts.

Blogger Outage
I was up all day yesterday, waiting for Blogger to function again, unfortunately, to no avail. I missed the Food Trip Friday and Food Friday meme but I think the lovely hostess of both meme will forgive my being a day late *grins*. I did notice minor problems in posting and commenting last Thursday and a little bit in logging in but I thought that the platform was just undergoing their usual maintainance as I was still able to do my thing, so imagine my surprise, shock, disbelief and fear when it didn't work the whole day yesterday plus the temporary deletion of the entries I did last Thursday, all three of them. I almost weep finding that out, hahaha, good thing, I was born lazy, so unlike other bloggers, who I assume rushed back to work when Blogger went back to business, I dilly-dallied and before I know it, my entries are back, unfortunately though, the comments weren't *pouts*.
Anyways, let's all go back to our grinds and let the merry-making and blogging begins, again *grins*!
Food Trip Friday and Food Friday entry up next :)

Munting Salo-Salo
I recently blogged about my food trips with grade school friends, as we plan our reunion away, you can take a look at our late dinner at Samarenos and our late lunch at Greenwich the next day. We usually hold a meeting each month and it started last January - the first one was at my place, we had some pansit bihon and puto topped with salted eggs plus a smorgasbord of junk foods to nibble on and a few bottles of Sprite to quench our thirst; the second one was supposed to be a small get together in Balsa as an old classmate came back from overseas work but the whole plan was canceled at the last minute, and in an effort to save the day, we decided on having an instant meeting at another classmate's house, we had some Crispy Pata and Fried Chicken from Baby's and a Longganisa Pasta that I cooked, we had iced cold Coke to flushed the food away; the third we meet turned out to be a small get together as another classmate came back from Qatar, it was a potluck dinner as always, we had Crispy Pata and Hongkong Chicken from Baby's, a bilao of kakanin and Relyenong Bangus from Dolor's, Pancit Canton and Chopseuy courtesy of our host's mom, I brought fresh hasa-hasa to be grilled but as the food on the table were still a-plenty, they just decided on putting it on hold, and as usual, Coca-Cola for our drink. Now, photos below were taken on our meeting last month, Gina took care of the food, I just brought a homemade coffee jelly as my share while our hostess prepared Mira Flores peachy-peachy with grated cheese and Coke and Green Tea Leaf as beverages.
The whole lot of them: Selecta Double Dutch Ice Cream, Coffee Jelly, Peachy-Peachy with grated cheese, rice, Lechon Paksiw, Tapang Kabayo, salted egg and tomatoes with Coke and Green Tea Leaf.
Another shot of the food, this time up close. I don't eat kabayo (I love them around and running) so I don't know how the said dish tasted like but the lechon paksiw was good, I would have eaten the whole lot but I'm too shy to do so, hahaha. The salted egg and tomato combination was a hit, as always. The peachy-peachy was yummy, as expected from Mira Flores.

Hmm, what shall we have next meet-up?

Greenwich American Idol Fanatic Feast
A week before we celebrate the Holy Week, I, together with my three elementary friends went to distribute the invitation letter for our grade school reunion and do an ocular on two of the proposed venues. We then headed to MC Square, a humble mall situated in Malabon City, to have a late lunch, we decided on Greenwich as it was the first fast food chain that we passed by. It was madam Shelly's treat, so we just let her order what she wanted, she went for Greenwich American Idol Fanatic Feast, it's a combo meal for four persons - a double thin crust Hawaiian Overload, 4pcs. Jumbo Crunchy Chicken with rice and gravy, two boats of Meaty Spaghetti and a pitcher of Nestea iced tea - it also comes with a limited edition American Idol 10th anniversary CD. Aside from that, you will also be eligible for a four (4) electronic raffle coupons that can win you a trip to Hollywood to watch the American Idol finale.
Sorry for the not-so-appetizing photos, as the people I am with are not familiar with my photo-op with food before eating syndrome, I just snapped whatever and prayed that I'll get good results. Sad thing is, we don't really get everything we pray for, hahaha...
