Eat All You Can at Chef d' Angelo

WARNING: FULL OF PICS AHEAD :D

We went out a week ago to buy some stuff for Christmas, as time wouldn't permit us to go anywhere far, we settled for SM San Lazaro, not that we don't like it there, it's just that, bigger malls gives us more choices and options *smiles*.

We headed to Chef d' Angelo for lunch and tried their eat-all-you-can. I think the food establishment joined the eat-all-you-can bandwagon early this year, with their pasta-and-pizza-all-you-can, then came their pizza, pasta, soup and salad all-you-can, the latest is the one combined with rice meals, priced at 175php, you can partner it with a bottomless drink at 60php.

We were kinda late, at half past one, so the buffet table doesn't look as full and appetizing as it should be but it was still worth our hard-earned cash.

The 99-Peso Meal at Jollibee

A second before I hailed a jeepney that will bring me closer to home, I received a text message from my son, asking for some pasalubong, I only have two choices - Jollibee or Dunkin Donuts, so I opted for the first.

And because I don't have the luxury to splurge yet, I bought one of their 99-peso meal offering. I forgot what else was there, but I do remember that there were three choices.

two-piece Burger Steak, Peach-Mango Pie and regular softdrinks

Four more days to go, are you ready?

Chuckie Fun-o-Clock Wristwatch

I am one of those parents who rely on Chuckie (and other chocolate drinks) for my kid's daily dose of calcium. My son stopped drinking milk at an early stage, he detest the taste, hehe, so I had to look for other sources of calcium.

Anyhoo, I would just like to share to all the mommies out there the e-mail that I received yesterday.

Let the hunt begin :D

Marks and Spencer's Digestive Biscuits

What's happening to blogger? I can't seem to find my way around it anymore? :(

Seriously, do blogger expect us to post like this everytime? I'm not a happy camper *pouts*.

Anyway, if you'll ask me, what I love about Marks and Spencer aside from the fact that I feel like an elite when I go and shop at their store *grins*, it would have to be their caramel candies and caramel-infused chocolates. Yup, I am a sucker for caramel and my never-ending battle with toothache is a not-so-welcome proof of that *grins*.

But, recently, I had come to know, err, taste another Marks and Spencer product that leaves a mark, not only to yours truly but also to my spencer (provider), hehe, yep, pun is intended *grins*. Photo below is of their Dark Chocolate Digestive Biscuit priced at around 200 pesos, pretty expensive for a biscuit but if you have money to spare, why not, right?

I never was a dark chocolate enthusiast, I prefer the sweet, milk chocolates variety specially those that comes with caramels and nougats but this dark chocolate digestive biscuit didn't pricked my taste buds with a bitter aftertaste, I actually, fell in love with it, together with my family.

If you haven't tried it yet, do give it a go, you might just become a fan like me in a piece or three :D

Selecta Pinoy Sorbetes

I don't think I had blogged about this yet? And even if I had, wala naman kayo magagawa kasi naka-post na, hahaha...

One Sunday night, on our way home from church, my son just randomly blurted out 'ice cream' and I just randomly answer 'keso' (cheese), and my nanay randomly butted in 'Pinoy Sorbetes mura lang'. The End.

Hahaha, that's the story behind this frozen delight, sorry, the storyteller in me is alive but not conscious of what she is doing *lmao*.

Pepperoni Pizza from Shakey's

Another late post, teehee.

My birthday treat from Shakey's *smiles* do you know that all supercard holders are entitled to a family-sized pepperoni pizza if and when they celebrate their birthdays on any Shakey's branch? I didn't but I sure I'm fortunate to had found it out on the day of my birthday *grins*.

Salamat sa free pizza Shakey's MCU, sa uulitin :D Nga pala, mas masarap ang pizza nyo kapag libre, parang iba ang lasa, hahaha... lasang magaan sa bulsa *tongue out*.

Have a good week everyone!

My Birthday at Friday's

Third in a row :D

I had blogged about my celebration at Shakey's and at Shomal by Hossein, for my third, a simple lunch date at Friday's. My son and I met Lloydie in Trinoma, in Starbucks, at the 2nd level of the mall to be exact, brandishing a new hairstyle (tandang-tanda ko pa ha, hehe), I even had to take a second look to make sure *grins*. It was decided that we'll have our late lunch in T.G.I. Friday's, so in Friday's we went and ate.

It is located at the 4th floor, in the roof garden area, and as expected of the dining establishment, they have this cool, chic and retro interior design with not-so-shabby looking waiting staff and receptionist that are always on their toes and ever-so-courteous. It doesn't lean on the cheap scale but with their good service and good food plus the cozy ambiance, I'm telling you, you can never go wrong with Friday's.

Be wary though, different folks do have different tastes, so make sure you or your friends/family are craving for something TGIF is famous for before you make that reservation or take that seat.

I had the Chicken Club Sandwich - layers of ham, chargrilled chicken breast, American cheese and crisp bacon piled double high between three slices of wheat bread with fresh lettuce, tomato and mayonnaise; the serving also comes with fries. Priced at 395 pesos and labeled as a must try, no one can resist this delight. I was so full after eating this sandwich sans the fries as my son hoarded it all for himself :D

Lloydie's order was Tortilla Crusted Fish - mild white fish coated with crisp tortilla crust atop savory rice with pico de gallo and a side of Southwestern sour cream, priced at 425 pesos. I'm not a fish-dish enthusiast so I can't say anything about it but it must be good coz she almost finish it (do remember that TGI Friday's menu comes in big servings) and I'm telling you Lloydie is a picky eater :P

A Birthday Date at Shomal

Sorry for posting late and for being so inconsistent of a FTF and FF player :(

This is a super delayed post.

I mentioned a few entries back that I had several celebrations for my 18th birthday *grins*, I posted the one with my boys last week, this time around, it's my birthday date with my best-est friend. We had our date at Trinoma, we watched Derek's movie with Anne and Kristine - No Other Woman - while enjoying some goodies from Taters, had our late lunch at Shomal Kebabs and Curries by Hossein, binged on some ice cream at Gelatissimo, bought a pair of sexy wedges (brown for her, black for me) at Landmark and headbands at EGG; and we had a lot of chika in between and while doing those, hehe.

Shomal is located at the 4th floor, in the roof garden area of Trinoma, it is a very suitable place to celebrate events, to have business meetings, to hang-out and chat, to spend dates, or to just plain dine in and eat good food. The place is so pretty, right from the front door to their comfort room, and it is in purple, have I mentioned that we love purple! The staff are super courteous and efficient, as in two thumbs up, even our caprices were obliged *grins*, going back is a must!

Note: This page might take forever to load as it has lots and lots of pics :D

Shomal by Hossein offers a gamut of dishes - they have Eastern Mediterranean, Caspian, North African and South Asian cuisine on their menu, and they serve Halal meat.

My Son's Dinner :)

I was supposed to blog about the new offerings of Mang Inasal but I just couldn't resist the charm of my son's dinner tonight *grins*, his dad prepared it for him, nope, it's not expensive nor out-of-this-world, I just find it super cute *lol*.

Presenting Wacky Burger Face with rice and gravy (not in photo) *lol*, I know, I know, it's not the most thought of name ever but as I my brain is semi-comatose from too much work, it'll suffice for now *grins*.

Nothing fancy right? But you have to admit that it is super adorable AND my son enjoyed every bite of it :D

I tried to crop it but that is what it comes to and I don't know how to bring it back to its original form, pasensya na po...

Tomorrow is Friday, happy me!

Milflores Peachy-Peachy

If there's one thing Malabon is famous for aside from being a flood-prone area and the pancit coined after the city's name, it would have to be their kakanin - one of those being the peachy-peachy (pitsi-pitsi).

Photo below is a big pack of peachy-peachy with grated cheese toppings from Milflores, one of the leading peachy-peachy makers in the metro.

*Pasensya na sa kuha, nagmamadali ako eh tapos SLR pa gamit ko, eh pang-point and shoot lang ako kaya ayan medyo sablay, hahaha...

One of the merienda(s) that we had in the office, it was a thank-you gift from one of the teachers who asked our office for a favor. At syempre dahil libre, mas masarap yan, hahaha, ubos agad eh :D

Jollibee Chicken Nugget Crunchers and Strawberry Sundae

Ever since my son learnt that Jollibee is not the only food establishment on Earth, my love of Chickenjoy, Burger Steak, Yum Burger, Aloha, among others returned. We don't frequent the fastfood chain but I do visit once in a while to try the classics and, of course, sample the new ones. I had blogged about Hash Brown Burger a few months ago, now, I am back with Jollibee Chicken Nuggets and Strawberry Sundae.

Don't expect a detailed blog post coz I just got home and I am freakin' tired, hahaha. A five-piece chicken nugget meal (with rice and regular-sized drink) will cost you 99 pesos, it comes with a bbq sauce and you have to pay 10 pesos for an extra. The Strawberry Sundae, which is now one of my favorites, cost 25 pesos, heaven that comes with a cheap pricetag *grins*.

Baker's Fair Beef Loaf

I've mentioned in a previous post that I had jumped in in the working mom bandwagon, I am now one of those moms who woke up early to prepare their children for school AND prepare themselves for work at the same time, and I am now one of those working moms who have coffees to go and breakfast at work.

Photo below was my breakfast one Monday morn, two weeks ago, I think :D

A branch of Baker's Fair was a few steps away from my son's school thus buying freshly-baked pastry and bread is no biggie for yours truly. I decided on a Beef Loaf that fateful day (hahaha, ang drama ng entry na itetch :P), well, it was too early and I only have that and garlic bread to choose from *grins*.

I shared it with my colleagues with a cup of Kopiko Brown coffee (three-in-one are all the rage in offices you know :D). At 45 pesos, I say, hell yeah!

A Celebration at Shakey's

I recently got back to the working grind, trapped in an 8-5 routine, my day actually starts earlier than that as I, also, send my son to school and as my body is sort of unfamiliar with the schedule, adapting doesn't come easy, I'm still feeling my way in and my blog suffered the blow. And believe it or not, I actually miss blogging, like a mom missing her kid :(

Enough drama *smiles*, I hope everyone have a safe, rainy Sunday!

**********

I celebrated my birthday last October (yes, that's how late this post is :P) and this was one of the gastronomical feast that I had, this round was with my boys.
