Mayor's Treat at Kakam Berta's Bar and Restaurant

My eyes are getting droopy, I am feeling sleepy, and my neck hurts so I think it's time to bid adieu, this'll be my fifth and final post for the day. Bukas ulit, I wish *grins*.

Taken last December 2011, after the tree-lighting ceremony and opening of Paskuhang Navoteno. We were supposed to check the venue of our office Christmas party, but unexpectedly (read: fortunately, hihi), our city mayor together with a few of the city councilors and department heads headed to Kakam Berta's Bar and Restaurant to have (a very late) dinner. To make the story short, medyo nadamay kami sa dinner, hehe, swerte!

I was able to sample several dishes, but I kinda failed to take pics. First few dishes lang ang meron akong kuha, sensya na, na-overwhelm ako, first office gimmick ko kasi ito eh, hahaha.

Sizzling Sisig, Breaded Chicken and Yang Chow.

Spotted: Chicharong Bulaklak :D

Natatandaan ko lang, there was Kinilaw na Tanigue, Tofu something, Chopseuy, Pork something, iced tea and San Mig lights, yung iba di ko na maalala eh :(

Midnight Snack

Just wanna share... because I am in the mood to blog and I need to nibble on something while I do what I'm supposed to do, and because it is THE holy week and my nanay tend to kill us with fishes and other seafood, which I am not a fan of, thus making me a glutton of all things that didn't come from the sea, presenting - M.Y San Butter Cookies.

Favorite ko yan nung bata ako eh, kapag mayroong may sakit yan ang binibigay ng mga dumadalaw pati yung Sky Flakes, o di ba, old skul fact yan, pang 80s, hehe.

A box will cost you a little more than 150 pesos, which, if I may say, is so worth it *grins*.

Lunch Date at McDo

Three is a charm :D

I was hungry, I ate lunch. I'm fed up with cafeteria (read: carinderia, hahaha) food, I went out. I had no money to spare, I called for back up. All that boiled down to one, had a lunch date at McDo with the generous husband, teehee.

Just out of the oven (in this case, boiling oil), extra large fries with ketchup, Heinz pala brand ng catsup nila noh?

My Treat

Post number 2 for today :D

Even before I sailed my way into the real world (read: life after school), it has been imprinted on my mind that my very first salary, wherever that may come from, should and would be spend for my loved ones, sort of a thank you treat, a lucky charm. And I did, I remember treating my college buddies in Pizza Hut somewhere in U-Belt, I bought my brother a K-Nex set and spent the rest on groceries and other mundane things for my family.

And then I stopped working.

Ten years later, I jumped back at it again, slavery in the modern times, hahaha.

Hence, another first salary treat. I bought myself a new digicam, my son a new robot, my husband, father and brother a new shirt, my mother new slip-ons; did some food-tripping with my chingus (which I'll blog about later) and fed my colleagues a little something.

Prepared and cooked by my nanay and tatay, and delivered by the husband.

Ginataang Hipon

Escabeche (Tanigue)

Pamatay-Gutom: Monde Special Mamon

No. 1, No. 1! My first post, blogging unlimited ulit tayo today para masaya, hehe.

Before I forget, Mocha flavor is also available. I think, a pack of six would cost 60 pesos or less.

Taiwan's Pineapple Cake

A friend of my bro came home from their Taiwan family getaway and gave us some goodies, I wasn't fast enough to take pics, you know, to show off to you foodies, hahaha, but I was lucky enough to have, ta-da *pointing at the photos below*.

I have no idea what company manufactured it or what name it comes with or where exactly in Taiwan you can buy it, but I know one thing, it is one hell of a pineapple cake *grins*.

Another Dinner Date, This Time at Pizza Hut

Per titled, my fam and I had another dinner date, actually, I sort of give in to my son's demand as, sort of, payment for working on a Sunday.

As requested by my prince, we headed to Pizza Hut, Malabon City Square branch and ordered their buy 2 pizzas for 419 pesos, Cheeseburger and Hawaiian flavors, and a 1.5 liter of Pepsi. Happiness (sa pananaw ng anak ko, hehe) in 500 pesos or less, teehee.

Pasensya na po sa mga larawan, dinapuan na ng kapagalan ang aking mga kamay kaya't tabingi na ang mga kuha ko :P

E goofing around, ain't he adorable?
(wag na kumontra, kapag nabasa ko ang blog nyo at sinabi nyo adorable din ang anak nyo, di rin ako kokonta, hahaha)

Note: I was reviewing some of my blog posts and I found this, I blogged about the Pair Deal pala a long, long time ago, good thing it is still available in MC Square branch :D

A Dinner Date at Mang Inasal

Blog number 4, this is what you call blogging unlimited, hurhur!

This one was taken on January of this year, one of the many dinner dates, err, late dinner dates I had with my family. You see January is one of the most hectic month in the life of a Navotas City employee, why, because it is when we celebrate our founding anniversary, and because I am a part of the Public Information team, please double my misery when you do the computations *grins*. Fifteen days of non-stop overtime, it was a test of physical endurance, patience, mental stability, emotional strength, psychological capacity, and our ability to not sleep, eat and drink.
Hahaha, medyo exag lang ako pero super pagod talaga ako during those times, swear *raises right hand*.

Anyways, pics below were taken at Mang Inasal, Malabon branch (near St. James Academy, my son's school), they opened their doors to the public the last quarter of 2011 and yes, it was our first visit.

Appetizer 101, Crispy Chicken Skin or as Mang Inasal tagged it, Chicken Chicharon. I'm not complaining nor am I raving about it, it was okay to say the least. As far as I'm concern, Chicken Inasal Bacolod's Chicken Skin is still the best, look at this pic and salivate.

A Taste of Durian Candy

Blog post number 3, I'm on a roll baby :D

Our grade school batch had its first ever official get together, a post-Christmas party to be exact, and one of my former classmate brought some OTOP (one town, one barangay) products from Mindanao. I was lucky to had grabbed one pack of Durian Candy Jam and if only I had known that it's that good, I would have fought tooth and nail to get more *grins*.

These are the best photos I could come up with, sorry. No further info about the subject matter, except that it is an OTOP produce, again, sorry.

Oh yeah, just google all that you wanna know, hur!

Gone Wacko on Go Nuts Donuts

Another late post, and I'm telling you, there'll be a lot more late entries coming from me. Medyo sinasamantala ko lang hanggang bakasyon, after nito, di ko alam kung kailan ko ulit malalagyan ng laman itong kaawa-awa kong blog :-(

I bought this in their SM San Lazaro branch, still in December of 2011, if I remember correctly, they were having some sort of buy one box (of six) and take one box (of six) promo, I paid a little less than 300 pesos, I think *grins*.

As it happened a loooong time ago (in my aged mind, it is, hurhur), I don't remember what variants I chose and how each tasted like, but I bet they're all yummy, look at those pretties, just looking at the pics make me crave like crazy *sigh*.

Late Lunch at Kenny Rogers Roasters

As usual, this is a late post, teehee! Alam nyo naman ako, laging busy-busy-han...

I think this was taken December of last year, when we went camera-shopping in SM San Lazaro. I went back to work on November and the very first thing I bought with my salary was a 14mp Canon digital camera and an advance Christmas gift for my son - a Bumblebee robot. Photos below were one of the first captures of the said cam.

We had our late lunch at Kenny Rogers Roasters, it is located at the second level of the mall, along with other food establishments.
Husband ordered his usual, one of those original set of meals Kenny Rogers offers, it has a quarter of roasted chicken (honey-flavored in his case) with gravy, a serving of rice and a side dish, thyme and baby potatoes.

I had one of those light meals - chicken sandwich, chicken noodle soup and a glass of iced tea.
