InfiniTEA Bonding

This is a late post, I do watch Honesto from time to time and his kind of honesty is kinda rubbing on me, so I decided on saying the truth, hehe.  Nakita ko lang ang mga pictures sa stock folder ko and voila, a blog post. This was taken the first time prof and I went and hanged out at InfiniTEA-Malabon.

We ordered their latest and on-season drinks at that time, the Chocolate Raspberry Frappe, she had the dark chocolate variety while I opted for the white chocolate and we both had black pearls as sinkers.  We talked about life - past lives, present lives and future lives, we did the same with love, we talked about her past, present and future love story, hahaha.

We've been to InfiniTEA a dozen more times and hopefully I can blog about them all, when I find the time and stamina and... the photos, hurhur!

Lunch Date at Tokyo Tokyo

Photos taken with a Telego camera phone.

Husband and I went to the Philhealth office in Grace Park, Caloocan City several months back and before we headed home, we decided on eating lunch at Victory Mall, well, there weren't that much establishments in the said mall at that time, no idea if there's any addition by this time, so we decided on Tokyo Tokyo. When you're in doubt, pick something that you're familiar with, right?

Coffee and Milk Tea at Figaro

Remember my post a week ago about a Chinggus Moment at Pizza Hut Bistro, well it didn't end there, we capped it off with some coffee and milk tea at Figaro, located somewhere along the Skygarden at SM North EDSA.

I ordered a Wintermelon Frost with Classic Tea (my obsession with milk tea was just starting then *grins*), Lloydie had a cup of Cafe Latte (I think), and papercrane had Coffee Caramel Frost (I think two *tongue out*).

Sweet Treats from Liberty Bakery

Goodies from my sister-in-law, she works as a guidance councilor in one of the public elementary schools in Manila so she has the means to visit and sample some of the hidden foodie treasures of the city, good thing she has a good heart (sispsip mode, hehe), our family tends to be one of the recipient of that goodness *smiles*.

I tried to google the establishment but I can't find any information about it, I learned that it is located at Nicolas Zamora Street at Tondo, well, at least you know where to scout, hehe.

Thanks Tita Imee!

Selecta Oreo Cookies & Cream

Photos taken with a Samsung camera phone.

We visited my in-laws computer shop some months ago, wala lang, nanggugulo lang, hehe.  We hoodwinked hubby's elder sister to buy Selecta's Oreo Cookies and Cream ice cream and his niece to cooked some homemade fries for merienda, yes we're awesome (parasites) like that, hurhur!

Selecta Blasts! Ice Cream

Seedless Sweetened Tamarind

This is what I got, together with a plastic bag of (Indian) mangoes, as pasalubong from my boss when our office went on our annual team building activity last summer, I wasn't able to come due to some unfortunate  and inevitable circumstances (read: red flag is up).

Verdict? 4 out of 5... it was too sweet for my taste but it being seedless was a definite plus for yours truly *smiles*.

Chinggus Moment at Pizza Hut Bistro

One of those chinggus moments *smiles*.

We met up and had late lunch at Pizza Hut Bistro in SM North EDSA.  Photo below were inclusive of a promo Pizza Hut was dishing up then, I can't remember the name of the promo or how much it was exactly, all I remember was we had the pizza changed to 3-Cheese as Lloydie doesn't eat meat (of any kind) and Papercrane is not much of a veggie-eater thus an additional charge.

This Time, It is Choco Fudge Brownies!

Another sweet treat from Pines' Brownies & Delicacies, this time instead of your old, plain, boring brownies (choz! never can a brownie be old, plain and boring in my eyes, hur!), we have Choco Fudge Brownies.

It was good but if I were to pick, I'd still settle for the plain ones, as one saying goes "Simplicity is Beauty," in this case, I'd say "Simplicity is Yummy," hahaha.

Langka-Ube

I used to eat these candies when I was in elementary, and then I stopped, not because I grew up or something, it just became scarce, like the ratio of finding one in one of my friendly sari-sari store is 0 to none.  So imagine my glee when it suddenly became visible again, but now in a different package and a combo of sorts, it used to come in langka (jackfruit) and ube (purple yam) flavors, now it's mixed together.  But I'm torn, I love that it's back but I think I like it better when they have two separate flavors, oh, have I mentioned that I like the langka variant better.

Childhood memories, lovin' it!

Kimchi Lovin'

Finally, a real life KIMCHI!  A labor of love from a real life AHJUMMA!  Freshly produced, hand-picked and pickled from SOUTH KOREA *smiling like an idiot*.  A cousin came back from the Country of Hallyu stars and loves of my life, hurhur, of course my most awaited request reached my hands and I became almost the happiest woman on earth, I would have been the happiest if Park Yoochun or Eric Mun came in the package, hur!

Anyway, drool people, drool! *tongue out*

Super Late Post: Clan Party

All great stories come to an end, I had been posting super late blog entries about last year's holiday season and this will be the last.

To end the series, photos of our family's (from my mom's side) annual Christmas party, wait, can I say annually when it only started a two years ago, hmmm....

As usual, with my fam, a potluck party.  And I'm gonna let you in on a secret, I'm already excited and planning this year's party, I wanna host, hope I can make it through planning and over-analyzing, hahaha.

Super Late Post: PIO Christmas Party

Third in line, after this I have another one and I'm done *smiles*.

What we had, ate and shared with friends and colleagues when our office held it's annual xmas party, we had it the same time the Navotas City Government held it's yearly Christmas Party, so it's kinda populated with party crashers, hurhur!  Anyway, it was still fun.

Food photographed (mediocre-ly) below was catered / ordered at Kakam Berta's Bar and Restaurant, a hang-out place in C4 Road, Navotas City.

Super Late Post: New Year's Eve 2013

E's 9th! (Part 3)

E's third and last 9th bday bash, this time it's with his family naman, syempre need din namin kumain at maki-happy-happy di ba?

It was a simple feast, as his birthday falls on the day before Christmas we just celebrate it with no fuzz or most of the time we just make it sabay sa noche buena para tipid, hahaha.  I remember E celebrating his birthdays in a grand way when he was 1 to 3 years old but then I got old and tired of all the hassles and aftermaths of December 24 parties, after those three years it just became children's parties at school with his classmates and birthday con noche buena celebration at home.  Then he got older (he's 9!) and it became a cake-blowing affair with his classmates and simple birthday dinner with us.

Ha, how time flies?

thanks to pizza deliveries life is a beach *grins*

E's 9th! (Part 2)

Still on E's birthday celebrations, syempre, another late post *grins*.

His birthday cake as the clock struck twelve, we just bought him a junior Choco Mousse from Goldilocks and hid it in Nanay's room.  We let him sleep and woke him up at 12 midnight, he was kind of disoriented and irritated when he finally arise from his favorite banig (sleeping mat woven/made of native materials) but he gave us a bit of a smile (or is it a smirk?) when we finally cajoled him to blow the number nine candle out.

A petite Choco Mousse cost a little bit more than Php300 while the bigger one sells for more than Php500.

E's 9th! (Part 1)

Super late post:  E's 9th birthday celeb at his school, we didn't really have anything prepared as his birthday really falls on the 24th.  We were vying for cupcakes but as our local cupcake shop doesn't have enough left for 30 persons at that time, we sort of had no choice but to go with a Red Ribbon dedication cake.

Mocha dedication cake comes in three sizes, photo below is a regular-sized one and it cost approximately Php500.00

Hany Jr.

In the absence of the all-time favorite Choc-Nut (probably the best-known brand of chocolate the Philippines had ever came up with), Annie's produced their very own peanut milk chocolate - Hany.  After years of existence and domination in the market, price hike and packaging changes included, Annie's came up with Hany Jr., I bet to grab the 1-peso buying kid's hearts again *smiles*.

I saw it one time in the supermarket shelf, I picked one pack up and here it goes.  It tasted like Hany, syempre, though after years of not eating the brand, I find it dry and sort of rough on the taste buds, but don't mind me, my tongue tends to assume that we're rich sometimes, hehe.

Sabi nga ni Carlos Celdran (I saw him in Philip the Lifestyle Guy last weekend, hehe) buy Filipino!

A Jin Ramen (Hot) Initiation

Have I ever mentioned my love of all things Korean? I think I did, but still let me tell you how it all begin... it started with a mild depression and the miracle cure - Korean drama.  From there it stemmed to Korean Variety Show, Korean Music, Korean Stars and Starlets, Korean Food, Korean Language, Korean Culture and South Korea per se, the only thing this author haven't acquired a taste for is Korean Politics *tongue out*.

Anyway, another cousin (sibling of the first cousin I've mentioned) came back from Korea and one of the loots I got is a pack of Ramyun.  I still don't read Hangul, so just like everyone else, all I can tell you is what I/you can read from the packaging, it's Jin Ramen and it's Hot!

Premium Doughnuts

This is a late post, what's new, right? *grins*

Photos were taken when Dunkin' Donuts was just presenting their new brands of doughnuts in the market, probably, a year ago, hehe...

Premium: Dark Choco Berry & Black Forest
Classic:  Nutty Choco & Marshmallow Eklavu (hahaha)

Seven-Eleven Goodies

We passed by 7/11 on our way home from some weekend trip, we don't have anything to bring back to nanay and we haven't had dinner yet so we decided on grabbing some bites before we finally head home.

Prices not included, we sort of went crazy grabbing items and I have no idea how we paid more than 500 bucks for siopao(s), hotdog sandwiches, various ready-to-eat sandwiches, chips and other junk foods, candies, chocolates and ice cream (other items was eaten before they ever had the chance to have their pictures taken *tongue out*).

Anyway, we had fun food shopping, hehe!

Tsokulit

A not-so-new discovery, it's chocolate, Pinoy style.  Remember Lala, those rectangular bars of chocolates which you can buy per strips / small rectangles for 25 cents, it's like a childhood street delight, well, at least, for the common people like us, hurhur!  Why did I mention it, you ask? Uhm, it's because Tsokulit taste exactly like Lala, even their texture and appearance are the same, the first just came in single packaging and a bit bigger.  It cost a peso in your favorite sari-sari store and I guess a bit less if you buy in pack.

Wanna give it a try?
