Baby A's 1st!

Baby A celebrated her 1st month with a bang, with two chocolate cakes (with her name on it) to boast of.  Thanks sponsors!

Hello! Hello!

Hello blogosphere!

Did I miss lots?

Did you miss me?

Well?

Fine, I'll say it first, I missed you!  So much!

Should I publish at least one post to welcome myself back?

Hmm, I think I will!

I gave birth last November and thanks to the Almighty God we're both free of diabetes or any other affliction that equates a life of sweet deprivation, hahaha.  To make up for loss fats and pounds, I decided on making my new year a sweet one, chocolates, cakes and more, come one and all *grins*.

Let's go 2015! *gobble, gobble*

Another Chocolate Delight!

Food Find:  Ovo Maltine Crunchy Chocolate Spread

Just when I thought Nutella, Crumpy and Goya is all there is to chocolate spread, I was stunned to find another.  Credits to my brother for introducing Ovo Maltine to us, chocolate cheers!

Ovo Maltine Crunchy Chocolate Spread

It won't replace Nutella or Crumpy in my heart but I do love its milder chocolate taste and malt blend.   Chocolate pa more *grins*!

Birthday Celeb at Tea & Co.

Third and last! Syempre with my eating buddy and food tripping cohort - prof *smiles*.

We were supposed to try Tea Pop around the C4 Road area but as we came, we saw bunches of kids plopped and seated all over the place and because we're snobs we decided on the contrary.  I kid though, we're not snobs, we never were and never will be, we just like to live in our own little bubble we consider our world *sniggers*.  So off we went to another milk tea joint, the Bistro Kakamberta Tea and Co. (it is located beside Bistro Kakamberta and owned & operated by the same entrepreneur hence the name), we took a peek and saw that only one table was occupied, so it was an easy choice.

And as it turned out, it was a rather good choice, Tea and Co. patrons can order anything they like in Bistro Kakamberta's menu without the hassle of hobnobbing with the drinking crowd, a perfect plot for the likes of us, you know, the 'I don't like people' type *smirks*.

Remembering Vicencio's

094d082fe23fed9fa4c54c63acce91b9bfa0f7d8f99fb84107
Vicencio's for me equates high school food trips, this establishment used to be our go-to place when we were still wearing those green and cream uniforms of San Jose Academy.  Aside from making delish breads, pizzas, pastries and other sweets, Vicencio's also house PX goodies like Pringles, Kisses, etc. which during those times were luxuries to us common people, hurhur!

Sadly though, change of times hadn't been good to it, the place isn't what it used to be, its former glory gone.  I always passed by the store on my way to work and home but I rarely see it open, and when it opens, all you can find on its remaining shelves were sliced loaves of breads.  So imagine my glee when I chanced upon it on the eve of All Saint's Day, all stocked up with goodies from my high school heydays.

And I asked, ang matandang Vicencio pa din ang nagbi-bake ng mga tinapay nila, hindi nga lang madalas at madami kasi wala sya katulong.  Sayang, Vicencio's could have been Navotas' very own Concepcion Bakery (oldest bakery in Malabon City).

pastries galore, busog lusog!
